Dr. David Grigorian is a Senior Fellow at Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and a non-resident fellow at the Center for Global Development in Washington, DC. He was previously at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where he worked on some of the most visible and impactful IMF programs of the past two decades. Prior to joining the IMF, Dr. Grigorian worked at the World Bank, where he managed banking sector restructuring projects in Central Asia. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland at College Park (2001), MA in Economics from the Central European University (1995), M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the American University of Armenia (1994), and M.Sc. equivalent in Systems Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Yerevan (1992). Dr. Grigorian has published on a wide range of issues including sovereign debt, banking and financial stability, growth and institutions, fiscal policy, remittances, and capital markets, and his research is cited widely.
