PFA Diaspora Report Presented at a UC Berkeley Symposium

PFA's Diaspora Report was a subject of the keynote presentation at a UC Berkeley symposium on “The Armenian Diaspora and its Relations with the Armenian State” held on November 13, 2010. It was organized by Professor Stephan Astourian, the Executive Director of the Armenian Studies Program at Berkeley. In addition to presentations by Professor Astourian and PFA’s David Grigorian, the symposium also featured Dr. Aida Boudjikanian (AMIC, Montreal) and Dr. Antranig Kasbarian (Tufenkian Foundation and ARF). The capacity audience included academics, prominent businessmen, community leaders, and students from Berkeley and Stanford. A lively question-and-answer session followed the presentations, during which the participants expressed their appreciation for PFA’s effort toward assessing the state of affairs between Diaspora and the homeland in the past 20 years and for taking a stance against factors that undermine the relationship.
