Richard Ohanian received a BS in Applied Physics from Azad University, Tehran, Iran in 1994, and a BS and MS from California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He worked at JPL/NASA (Pasadena, California) for a short period of time and is currently with Axiom Micro-devices (Irvine, California) as RFIC design engineer designing integrated circuits for wireless applications. In Iran, he published a book on Mechanics and Optics for high school students. He also published various articles on socio-political issues in Alik Armenian daily (Tehran, Iran) and was a TV host on Horizon Armenian TV (Glendale California). He continues to be a member of many associations, interest groups and professional networks such as IEEE. He is the founder of ArmEngine, a worldwide organization focused on promoting entrepreneurship among Armenian engineers and scientists.
